IBM & SoftLanding Present "New Open Source Version Control for Web & Java Development"

By Amy Lantz, Marketing Director

Webcast Recording Available

On April 27, IBM joined SoftLanding in presenting the first public look at TurnOverSVN and the open source tool that underpins it, Subversion for OS/400. If you were not one of the 275 people who signed up for this Webcast, or if you were unable to attend, don't worry — you can access the Webcast recording from either SoftLanding.com or iSeriesNetwork.com.

In this Webcast, IBM-er Kushal Munir (senior developer for IBM's WebSphere Development Studio Client for iSeries) reviewed best-practice version control concepts for Web and Java development and discussed special requirements for IT organizations with iSeries-based applications. Our own Paul Thiel introduced Subversion for OS/400 and examined its key features, explaining how TurnOverSVN builds on this core version control technology as part of TurnOver Change Management. He then described how the resulting product allows TurnOver customers to coordinate Web and Java development with iSeries development as part of an enterprise-wide software management solution.
